Official Announcement

So, I had a dream this past night. Somewhere near the end, I think Pokémon were evolved. And when I woke up, I realized something: nostalgia is a bitch. I immediately had the thought of watching all the episodes of the original series, and the first 5 movies as well, to relive the nostalgia. Then came the trouble of how to chronicle the experience. Blog posts? Well, I started this blog, so that's definitely one way. The question is, do I want to chronicle it in any other way? I really was thinking about doing commentary with someone else and upload the video somewhere, but...I can't, mainly due to copyright issues. There has to be something else I can do. I just want it to be epic, as if nostalgia wasn't enough on its own.

As for the episodes, I will be watching the first 276 episodes of Pokémon and the first 5 movies, all of which are part of the original, pre-Advanced Generation story (even though the 5th movie deals with Latios/Latias), from start to finish, one per day. The movies will go in wherever they fit chronologically into the story (not between the episodes it originally aired between unless it just happens to be in the proper place). I have already seen 145 or so episodes from the original series, as well as the first 2 movies (even though I only remember seeing the first in a movie theatre; I know I saw the second one, because I have the Ancient Mew Card, which has since got bent and lost its value... :/ ), but I will be starting from episode 1, sharing whatever memories I have and anything else that helps to make the experience more epic (except flowery language).

I will not be doing anything from the Advanced Generation series or the Diamond & Pearl series (including movies 6-12), nor will I do the Pokémon Chronicles side episodes. Well, at least not yet...

Regardless, this will last about 10 months, doing one episode a day as much as possible. When I'll start watching the episodes, I'm still deciding. But whenever I get around to it, it will be epic.
